Serie A Cremonese set sights on Augustus Kargbo
Newly promoted Serie A side Cremonese have set their sights on Sierra Leone attacker Augustus Kargbo, according to the blastingnews.
The outlet claims the Tigers have the 22-year-old on their radar as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the new Serie A season.
Kargbo’s former coach, Massimiliano Alvini, is keen on the FC Crotone player who is still under contract until summer 2024.
He started his professional career in the Italian fourth-tier Serie D club, Campobasso, before joining Crotone in 2018.
After helping the club gain promotion to Serie A in 2019, he made his Serie A debut as a substitute in a 4-1 defeat in September 2020 before he was sent on to Serie B’s Reggiana to get more playing time.
Last season, he made 32 games scoring three goals and securing three assists, but they suffered relegation from Serie B.
