The National U17 team will come up against Senegal and Guinea Bissau in the Total Africa Cup of Nations zonal qualifying tournament in Dakar, Senegal.
The West African Football Union (WAFU) ‘A’ on Monday, 30 July 2018, held the draw for the upcoming qualifiers.
The colourful ceremony which was broadcasted on Senegalese national broadcaster RTS was graced by the President of WAFU A, Augustine Senghor and officials of the participating teams.
Host Senegal was drawn with neighbours Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone in Group A.
Defending African champions Mali are in Group B which looks like a group of death with Liberia and Gambia.
Group C teams are Guinea, Mauritania and Cape Verde.
The tournament will be played from the 9-18 September 2018 in Dakar and Rufisque, with the winner of each group and best runner-up qualifying for the last four.
The finalists will represent the zone at next year’s Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
Matches will be hosted at the Alassane Djigo Stadium in Pikine (Dakar) and the newly built Stade Ngalandou Diouf in Rufisque.

Moldovan Champions FC Sheriff has been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League following a goalless draw with Macedonian side Shkëndija in Moldova.
Alhaji Kamara’s side was unable to overturn a first leg 1-0 deficit on Tuesday night.
KF Shkëndija made European history after reaching the third round of this year’s Champions League qualifiers for the first time.
Besart Ibrahim’s only goal at the first meeting in Skopje proved to be enough for the Macedonian reigning Champions.
The Sierra Leone striker was again unable to find the net in both legs but remain a vital figure in the side.
The results mean FC Sheriff have dropped into the third qualifying round of the Europa League, where they will face FC Santa Coloma, Andorra, or Icelandic FC Valur.
The first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League FC Sheriff will play on the 9th of August in Tiraspol. The away match will be held on the 16th of August.

IK Frej Täby defender Alie Sesay has expressed delight after his impressive performance against the Lone Star of Liberia.
Sesay was one of the foreign-based players in John Keister’s squad that played to a goalless draw in Liberia on Sunday, July 22 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
The tie was the 23-year-old fourth for Sierra Leone. He made his debut against Cameroon in a 0-0 draw during the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on 11th October 2014.
The former Barnet FC defender played his third international game for Sierra Leone in a 5-1 defeat to the Ivory Coast in November 2014.
“I was so happy to be back putting on the national pride (Sierra Leone shirt) because it has been a while,” Sesay told Football Sierra Leone.
“Now, I am really looking forward to the Ethiopia game as we have a good chance of qualifying.”
The former Leicester graduate added: “It was an overall good experience; it was a good result away from home playing with majority home-based players.
“The home-based players played really well and I was impressed with them.”
The combative defender has been one of the most consistent players for the Swedish Superettan side since joining them in 2017 from Barnet FC.

Striker Sheka Fofanah says he is looking forward to playing in the Arab Club Champions Cup on Wednesday in Lebanon.
The forward, who scored on his CAF Champions League debut for Al Merreikh in a 2-1 win over Township Rollers in Khartoum in February, is hoping to help his Sudanese club get a positive result.
Al-Merrikh of Sudan will take on Syrian club Al-Jaish on Wednesday, August 1st in the first leg doubleheader at the Zgharta Sports Complex in Lebanon.
Mirdachiyyé Stadium is a 5,000-capacity and it is the home ground of Salam Zgharta football club.
The former Frýdek-Místek striker joined Al-Merrikh Sporting Club on a two-year deal in December since then he has registered nine goals.
The 20-year-old, who notably bagged a debut brace and is now focusing on winning something with his new side in Sudan.
“Always be ready because you never know who is watching at an international stage like this,” he told Football Sierra Leone from Lebanon.
“This is a great competition and I’m here to do my best at a different level. If we can get a positive result the return leg in Sudan will be up to us to complete the job,” Fofanah added.
The 2018–19 Arab Club Champions Cup is the 28th season (not including 1990) of the Arab World’s inter-club football tournament organized by Union of Arab Football Associations, (UAFA).
This is the first season since it was renamed from the Arab Club Championship to the Arab Club Champions Cup.

Mohamed Buya Turay scored once again to cement his place as one of the top scorers in the Swedish Allsvenskan despite Dalkurd suffered 3-1 defeat on Saturday.
He joined the Allsvenskan new boys in March but has been the club’s top scorer already setting higher standards than ever seen before.
Turay, 23, has now scored nine goals in twelve appearances for the club since March making him the league’s top scorer so far.
The Sierra Leone superstar has also equalled his overall tally last season for AFC Eskilstuna, where he accounted for nine goals before his switch.
“I am just happy to keep scoring goals for the team, he told Football Sierra Leone after yesterday’s defeat.
He added, “But, I am very sad with the results since I came here. I want my goals to help the team progress this is not about only me but the team.”
“We are in a very bad position. As a team, we all working really hard but the results are not coming our way.”
IK Sirius scored two first-half goals against the relegation-threatened side with goals from Christer Gustafsson and Nigerian Moses Ogbu in the 27th and 31st minutes respectively.
The Sierra Leone native scored just after the break in the 48th minute on Saturday to give his side a lifeline 2-1 against Sirius at the Gavlevallen.
The home team cannot stop the visitors as Ian Sirelius completed Sirius victory in the 95′ minute. (1-3)

ENGLAND: Osman Kakay is in line to get the nod against Preston for Queens Park Rangers in the opening weekend of the English Championship next Saturday.
The Sierra Leone native, who broke into the first team last season, is in top gear ready to replace Darnell Furlong who is expected to be out for the first three weeks of the new campaign.
The QPR academy defender has been a regular under new boss Steve McClaren throughout the pre-season.
Kakay, 20, scored a brilliant goal 56 minutes in QPR’s 7-0 victory over against Staines Town July 13.
The promising young defender told club’s website: “The way the game is you get opportunities in ways you might not have wanted.”
“If the Opportunity comes I am ready for it. The gaffer has been telling me to carry on working as usual and show people what i can do.”
He made his debut in QPR’s 2-1 victory over Rochdale in the EFL Cup tie in August 2016.
His first professional debut was in the Scottish Championship in January during a loan spell with Scottish side Livingston.
In Scotland, he played 12 times last season for Livingston.
USA MLS: Kei Kamara scored Vancouver Whitecaps third goal in their 4-2 over Minnesota United on Saturday night, July 28, at BC Place.
Alphonso Davies scored two goals and added a pair of assists for the host team Vancouver Whitecaps.
Kamara put the Whitecaps up 3-0 in the 64th minute as he converted a pass from Davies on a two-on-one—only two minutes after coming off the bench as a substitute.
Yordy Reyna also scored for the Whitecaps.
The veteran MLS’s striker has now scored 9 goals this season for the Whitecaps.
