Osman Kakay plays in Emirates FA Cup win over Leeds United.
Sierra Leone defender Osman Kakay played for Queens Park Rangers as they beat Leeds to reach the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.
Goals from Aramide Oteh and Jake Bidwell gave the home team a hard-fought 2-1 victory over fellow Championship side Leeds United at Loftus Road.
Kakay, 21, who last month signed a contract extension played for full 90 minutes after manager Steve McClaren made five changes to his side that played 2-2 against Aston Villa.
The right-back Kakay had a good game. Showed guile in his defending and was very comfortable adding width to the attack.
It was Kakay’s seventh appearances for Queens Park Rangers and, remarkably their first third-round victory without the need for a replay since 1996.
Aramide Oteh put QPR in front from the spot after Jake Bidwell was fouled.
Aapo Halme equalised only two minutes later, tapping home from close range before Bidwell scored the winner with 15 to full time.
Bidwell header sends Marcelo Bielsa’s Championship league leaders out. QPR will now take part in the FA Cup fourth round for the first time since 2013.

Sierra Leone attacker Mohamed Buya Turay has been left out of St Truiden training camp in Spain.
The club’s record signing maybe on his way out in the next coming days talks are ongoing.
“Jonathan Legear, Buya Turay, Thallyson and Sascha Kotysch did not go to practice camp. They expect an official transfer soon,” the club has stated.
The 23-year-old striker has struggled to replicate his form in Sweden where he scored nine goals in 13 appearances for former club Dalkurd.
The Canaries arrived in San Pedro del Pinatar on Saturday for their winter camp raining at the Pinatar Arena.
During their stay they will take on NAC Breda on Monday, January 7, in La Manga at 4:00 PM before Marc Brys’ men engage Hoffenheim on Friday 11 January at 12.00.

The Major League Soccer’s sixth all-time leading goalscorer Kei Kamara has opened up for the first time after leaving Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps.
He scored 14 goals for the Whitecaps last season and six assists but was not enough to convince new manager and was told his services were no longer needed at the club.
Kamara, 34, who joined Colorado Rapids was awaiting news from his agent about where he’d be playing in 2019, his ninth professional club.
However, the former Middlesbrough attacker was instead picked by Cincinnati and traded to the Rapids for an international roster spot, on a two-year deal last month.
He told MLS soccer website, “All the energy I spent playing, trying to help the team grow, help the younger players around me, I felt good that I was going to stay in Vancouver for a little longer.”
The attacker added, “Even after the head coach was let go, even though he was the head coach that brought me there. Maybe I was reading the energy wrong.”
“When I got the news that they weren’t interested in keeping me and I was being traded, I was shocked,” Kamara explained.

Former AC Milan player Kevin Constant, 31, has joined the Tabriz-based club on a three-and-half-year deal, the club has announced.
The Guinean international has signed his ninth professional contract since 2006 and is expected to play as a defensive midfielder in Tractor Sazi.
Constant career started with the Toulouse’s first-team squad in 2006 before joining Ligue 2 side Châteauroux in 2008.
In September 2010, he was signed by Italian club Chievo on a loan deal, ultimately made permanent in June 2011.
On 20 June 2012, Constant moved to AC Milan on a loan deal and was on 27 July 2013, Milan bought Constant out-right for another €6 million also selling Sierra Leone’s Rodney Strasser to Genoa for €3.5 million on the same day.
In 2014, he joined Turkey’s Trabzonspor, and two years later he returned to Italy to play for Bologna.
On the international stage, Constant made his debut on 14 October 2007, in a 1–3 friendly loss against Senegal.
He scored against Nigeria on 10 October 2010 in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification against Nigeria and, has gone to play over 25 matches for Guinea.

Paul Pogba’s mother has been appointed an ambassador for women’s football by the Guinea Football Federation (Feguifoot).
Yeo Moriba, who was a former international herself with the Guinea women’s team delighted with her new role following a meeting with Feguifoot President Mamadou Antonio Souare.
The Feguifoot president is hoping that Paul and his twin brothers, Florentin and Mathias, will support their mother in her new role.
“I am proud of what the Guinea Football Federation and its president have done,” she told Feguifoot’s website.
Florentin and Mathias, who have both played for the Syli Nationale, were born in Guinea before Moriba moved to France where Paul was born.
Defender Florentin last played in Turkey with Genclerbirligi. while striker Mathias is currently with French club Tours.
The hope is that the family will be able to rejuvenate women’s football in Guinea.
Unlike their male counterparts, the women’s team has never qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations let alone the World Cup or Olympics.
