Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final, Stade de l’Amitié – Burkina Faso 2 (Bance 81, Nakoulma 84) Tunisia 0
Burkina Faso is first into the semifinals at the African Cup of Nations after Aristide Bance came off the bench to score late and Prejuce Nakoulma added a second on a breakaway to beat Tunisia 2-0 on Saturday.
Aristide Bance – who was only on the pitch five minutes – broke the deadlock with a sweetly struck free-kick with only nine minutes remaining, before Prejuce Nkoulma made sure of the victory.
The Stallions will face either Morocco or Egypt in the last four on Wednesday.
In Saturday’s second quarter-finals Cameroon beat Senegal 5-4 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes.
Sadio Mane pictured missed the decisive penalty in a shootout to send favorites Senegal tumbling out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Cameroon will face either Ghana or DR Congo in the same stadium on Thursday.

Kalusha Bwalya says Herve Renard has the ability to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco as he assesses the tournament so far.
Should Renard win the finals, it would be an unprecedented third title with his third different nation after the Frenchman won it with Ivory Coast in 2015 and with Zambia in 2012.
The Former Zambian international Bwalya, 53, also told BBC Sport he thinks the competition in Gabon is full of good teams who are closely matched, as he looked ahead to the weekend’s quarter-finals.
Renard’s Morocco take on seven-time champions Egypt on Sunday in one of the quarterfinals.
The other last-eight matches are Burkina Faso v Tunisia and Senegal v Cameroon – both games on Saturday – and DR Congo v Ghana on Sunday.

Sohag Sporting Club and Sierra Leone-born midfielder Abdul Sama Mannah (pictured in action) has expressed delight over his performance at the Sohag Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Sohag defeated Al Asyoty 1-0 to go third on the table.
The player was directly responsible for the only goal of the day assisting striker Ali Rasheed who scored from 16 yards which earned him man of the match award.
After the game, he was deservedly awarded the Man of the Match award, his second for this season with the Egyptian second-tier side.
“We’ve done a good job. We’ve tried our best to win because of it was the last game of the first round.
“We’re happy because everything worked out well and as a team we’re very pleased.”

In-form DR Congo turned on the style as they thrashed Togo 3-1 to top group C with two wins and a draw in the African Nations Cup in Gabon.
Goals from Kabananga 29, Mubele 54, and Mpoku 80 helped DRC to eliminate Togo.
Tournament top scorer Junior Kabananga converted Chancel Mbemba’s pass for the opener, his third goal in three games.
DR Congo is expected to face the Group D runners-up in the quarter-finals, which will be one of Mali, Ghana or – most likely – Egypt.
In the same group, Morocco defeat holders Ivory Coast 1-0 to reach the knockout stage of the competition.
Rachid Alioui scored a brilliant goal at the Stade d’Oyem, to send Ivory Coast out of the Africa Cup of Nation in a 1-0 win for Morocco.

Former Watford and Coventry City midfielder Alhassan “Al” Bangura have joined Nuneaton Town.
The club participates in the National League North, the sixth tier of English football.
Bangura, 29, last played for non-league side St Albans City.
The Sierra Leone international has had spells with Watford in the Premier League, Brighton & Hove Albion, Blackpool, and Forest Green
Rovers.
“I am delighted to be able to bring Al to the club,” said Manager Tommy Wright.
“Al is a leader and a fighter; he is hungry to be successful and isn’t afraid to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in. We welcome him to The Coombe Abbey Arena.
“Bangura joined the Watford youth set-up in 2004 and progressed to make over 75 senior appearances for the Hornets.
“He scooped a Young Player of the Season award along the way and also helping the club secure promotion into the top-flight.
“We welcome him to the Coombe Abbey Arena.”
