Sierra Leonean midfielder, Kwame Quee ended up his Víkingur Ólafsvík debut day on a sad footing as he was sent off eight minutes from time in Saturday 3-1 win over Grindavík in the Iceland league.
The young midfielder who only completed his loaned deal from FC Johansen to the Úrvalsdeild Karla league side last week received double yellow in 65 minutes and the 82nd minute before giving the matching order a decision the club’s manager coach Ejub Purisevic describe as soft one.
“The red card was a little soft. Certainly, Kwame broke several times in the game but no offense to justify the red card. Maybe Ivar (the referee) was just fed up,” Purisevic said in a post-match interview.
Despite the dismissal, the 20-year-old was very instrumental in the match helping his new side to secure their first win in three matches as the move a step forward to ninth place in the league table with three points.

Hosts Gabon opened the Under 17 Africa Cup of Nations in Port Gentil with a big defeat to Guinea, losing their first Group A game 5-1.
Guinea completely dominated the match and went 5-0 up before Gabon hit a consolation goal in the second half.
Later on Sunday, Cameroon were scheduled to face Ghana in the other Group A match.
Group B’s opening matches take place in Libreville on Monday with Mali facing Tanzania and Angola taking on Niger.
The top four teams will qualify for the Under 17 Fifa World Cup in India in October which gives the teams an extra incentive to do well.
Before the opening game, Gabon’s head coach, Pierre Mfoumbi, had said he hoped his players could get off to a good start, in their bid to reach the World Cup for the first time.
In contrast, defending champions Mali – who start their campaign against debutants Tanzania on Monday – reached the final of the last Fifa Under 17 World Cup in Chile two years ago, only to lose to fellow Africans Nigeria in the final.
For Tanzania, qualifying for the Under 17 Africa Cup of Nations is a new chapter in the development of their country’s football.
Jamal Malinzi, president of Tanzania’s Football Federation, says although they are new to this tournament, they remain very ambitious.
“We have high expectations – very, very high expectations. We are going to start against Mali, I know it’s a formidable team,” Malinzi told BBC Sport.
“They have got two very good academies in Mali, which produced a number of their players, and some of them are playing in Europe already.
“But that won’t deter us from being determined to conquer Mali, to conquer Group B, and be in India for the World Cup finals,” Malinzi said.
Gabon replaced Madagascar as hosts for this Under 17 Africa Cup of Nations following a Caf inspection.

Sierra Leone international Kei Kamara scored his third goal of the season and his 89th MLS career goal as New England Revolution thrashed Real Salt Lake 4-0 on Saturday at their Gillette Stadium.
Kamara, who is now tied with Carlos Ruiz in 10th place in the MLS’s all-time goal scoring chart scored just 48 hours after welcoming his newborn son into the world.
The former Columbus and Middlesbrough striker took to twitter to share his delight with fans with a photo of his new boy, he twitted: Telling him bout the goal and he said “Just ☝️”
“I have just been blessed to do what I love, Play soccer and be a goal scorer. But I still have some time and goals under my belt, Kamara told footballsierraleone.net.
Scott Caldwell opened the scoring with just his third career goal in his 132nd regular-season appearance. Kei Kamara returned after missing the Revs last two league matches with a goal and an assist less than 48 hours after welcoming a newborn son into the world.
Diego Fagundez finally broke through for his first goal of 2017 – a just reward for a player who has often been the Revolution’s most dangerous attacker.
Lee Nguyen completed the big win with an easy goal off a Kei Kamara pass to put the Revs up even further with a 4-0 lead at halftime.
“It was just mentality tonight, team spirit,” said Chris Tierney, who returned to the Revs’ starting line-up at left-back. “It’s one of those games that we always talk about after the run we’ve had; I actually think we’ve been playing okay, but haven’t been getting results,” Chris told club’s website.
The Revs next action is on Sunday, May 21, when the club hosts Columbus Crew SC at Gillette Stadium.

The Nigerian international, Victor Moses, and his Chelsea team on Friday emerged champions of the English Premier League.

Moses played a key role in Antonio Conte’s first season triumph as Chelsea dominated the Premier League and won their sixth league title – their fifth in the past 12 years.
The 26-year-old had played only 23 league games in the previous four years, which had taken in loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham along the way.
But, after defeat to Liverpool and Arsenal in the first opening games, Conte’s reshuffle brought Moses back into the starting line-up and has helped make him one of the most consistent performers this season, making over 37 appearances in all competitions.
Although they still have two games to play, Chelsea now have an unassailable 87 points.
Moses played for 86 minutes on Friday evening as he and his teammates defeated West Bromwich Albion in an away match.
The only goal of the game came in the 82nd minute and was scored by Belgian Michy Batshuayi who came on from the substitute bench.
Following his breakthrough season, the Nigerian has recently signed a new deal with the London outfit to keep him in west London until 2021.
The deal is thought to be worth around £100,000-per-week.
Moses arrived at Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan Athletic and enjoyed a solid first season at the club, helping Chelsea to lift the Europa League trophy during the 2012- 2013 seasons.

FC Johansen midfielder Kwame Quee has joined Iceland top tier side Víkingur Ólafsvík, on a two-year loan move for an undisclosed fee, the Ólafsvík-based club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old, who travelled to Iceland last month has won over 12 international caps for Sierra Leone and was recently part of the Leone Stars African Nations Cup 2017 qualification campaign.
“We welcome Kwame to the club,” the Ólafsvík-based club said in a statement.
The 2016 national FA winner has been one of the outstanding and consistent players since winning his first International cap with Sierra Leone.
Quee in February was also part of the FC Johansen side eliminated by Moroccan side FUS Rabat in this season’s CAF Champions League 4-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round.
The Icelandic football club Víkingur are still without points after their first two opening Iceland Pepsi-League games.
They have lost to Valur away and 2-1 at home to KR.
Vikings next game is on Sunday against Bray away from home and the Sierra Leone attacking midfielder is eligible to play.
He has had spells with Doutcher United, where he started his career, Sierra Rangers, Papa jack FC before joining FC Johansen in 2009.
