Kallum Cesay nets first Spurs U21 goal in defeat to City
Sierra Leone International scored his first goal of the season in Tottenham U21’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Premier League Two leaders Manchester City at the Lamex Stadium Monday night.
Kallum Cesay expertly finished off a superb team move to put us ahead by 25 minutes. However, City quickly gets back to level terms seven minutes later, Carlos Borges providing the finish after Adedire Mebude saw his shot blocked on the line by Max Robson.
Young Centre-back Shae Charles glanced in substitute Ben Knight’s teasing cross to give City the lead in 65 minutes.
As a result, they stranger second from bottom in the Premier League 2 standings.
Cesay, who was making his 21st appearance for the Spurs U21 side, has been impressive since the 2021/22 campaign.
Kallum, who featured for our first team in pre-season before being named as a substitute in two matches in the UEFA Europa Conference League, has been an integral player for the Spurs development team.
