Ports Authority beat FCFC 1-0 at the Siaka Steven Stadium on Friday
East End Lions maintained their 100% record to stay top after two wins, while there were also wins for Kallon, Port, Parade and Tigers over the weekend.
The Killers strengthened their grip at the top after 1-0 victory over Old Edwardians on Saturday evening at the Siaka Steven Stadium, while there were also wins for Central Parade, East End Tigers on the same day.
Abdul Baimba Sesay’s fine goal was enough for East End Tigers to beat RSLAF at the Wusum stadium in Makeni.
At the Approved School Complex, Central Parade formerly Senegal FC eased past Anti-Drugs with a brace from Ibrahim Wilson.
Elsewhere on Friday, Khari Abu Komeh scored the only goal the Kallon FC away from home at the Bo stadium, while Kamboi Eagles scored a controversial goal to cancel out Omega Thoronka’s opener for Diamond Stars at the Kenema town field.
In Freetown on the same day, the Waterfront boys narrowly beat Freetown City FC with the only goal scored by Daniel Wellington.
Controversy in Kenema
Centreman Conrad S Taylor was spotted under medical care after being allegedly struck by an object from the crowd in Kenema following Kamboi Eagles equaliser.
He later continued with his officiating under a tense atmosphere but, there were no further troubles, Football Sierra Leone understands.

East End Tigers on Friday announced the appointment of Hon Ibrahim Aziz Bangura of Constituency 076 as club’s vice-president.
His appointment comes during the club’s sponsorship unveiling ceremony and supporter’s jersey at the Kaffu Bullom Cotton Tree Hall Lungi on Friday.
Chairman Victor Lewis welcomed Hon Bangura, who he described as a nobleman that has been doing great in his Constituency.
“Hon Ibrahim Aziz Bangura is the new club Vice President and, the club is delighted to confirm,” Chairman Victor Lewis told this medium.
Reacting to his appointment, Hon Bangura detailed he appreciated the recognition from the executive of EE Tigers.
“I’m privileged to be recognised and, I’ll do my best to help fine tune the club to reach a higher height in the near future.”
Hon Bangura, who is a Member of Parliament has been a football philanthropist and a football loving fan.
He has been yearning for a strong football team around his Constituency.
Hon Bangura will assume office immediately and has promised to work assiduously in the club’s interest.
In a related development, Augustine M Kambo has also named the clubs general manager with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, EE Tigers kick-off their 2019 campaign with an away game at the Wusum Mini-stadium against RSLAF later this afternoon.

Iran’s Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan SC have confirmed the signing of Nigeria national Ighodaro Christian Osaguona.
The 28-year-old forward has joined the Isfahan-based football club until the end of the season.
Osaguona has had spells with Buffles Parakou (Benin), Shooting Stars and Enugu Rangers (Nigeria), Raja Casablanca (Morocco), KV Mechelen and Westerlo (Belgium) and Umm Salal (Qatar).
He was also a member of the Nigerian national football team and made five appearances for Super Eagles.
He has been in the international wilderness since his appearance against Sudan in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in October 2014.
In another transfer news, Polish 1 Liga leaders Rakow Czestochowa announced the signing of Patrick Friday Eze.
Eze has signed a contract with the club for half a year with an option to extend it by three years.
Eze’s former clubs include Africa Sports, Rad, Napredak Kruševac, Mladost Lučani, Al-Fujairah, Al-Qadisiyah, Konyaspor and Denizlispor
Ex-Golden Eaglets star Chidiebere Nwakali mutually parted company with Rakow Częstochowa three months ago.

Sierra Leone Premier League: East End Tigers coach Mansaray eyes win over Military team RSLAF.
East End Tigers are gearing up to open their 2019 league season with a win over a difficult opponent, the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, (RSLFA) top-flight side.
The match will kick off 16:30 pm at the 5,000 capacity Wusum stadium based in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone, the city is the capital of Bombali District.
East End Tigers are formerly known as the Gem Stars of Tongoma, where the second-best team during the 2014 Sierra Leone Premier League before it was stopped.
Head coach Alhaji Chernor Mansaray, aka ‘Chericoco’ has said it is utmost to every coach to win a first competitive game.
The former Al Ahly player noted that despite expecting a tough challenge from RSLAF, his charges have been doing well in all their preparations.
“We are underrating any team because we know every team ready to compete,” the former Al Ahly striker told this medium.
“It is utmost to every coach to win a first competitive game, we know they are a good team but we also know what to take to the pitch on Saturday.”
“We have prepared well to a good standard both physically and psychology for our opening game,” Mansaray told Football Sierra Leone.
“I’m happy with the players’ fitness levels and morale. Winning many friendly matches ahead on Saturday.”
From a total of sixteen friendlies, the Tigers won ten matches including victories against FC Kallon, FC Johansen and Old Edwardians.
RSLAF, on the other hand, are no pushover they were Sierra Leone’s representative in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup but, faced with an uphill in Tunisia.
Following a humiliating 9-1 defeat to Club Africain at the Stade Olympique de Rades in the first leg of their CAF Cup encounter, they withdrew from the competition.

Bo Rangers set for Sierra Leone Premier League opener
The second largest stadium in the South of Sierra Leone will host it first 2019 Premier League match between Bo Rangers and Kallon FC.
The match kicks off at 16:30 pm today.
FC Kallon travels to the South to kick start their season at the 25,000 capacity Bo mini-stadium.
Both coaches are optimistic ahead of kick-off, speaking to Football Sierra Leone Rangers technician ‘Kfoot’ Alimamy Sheku Turay has said his charges are well aware of Kallon FC threats.
He outlined that his boys are ready, focused and in good sharp to showcase their talent.
“We know is going to be a tough test after a long time but our lads are ready and they are in a much better sharp physically and mentally.”
“We are targeting a home victory,” coach Kfoot reassured Rangers fans.
The Rangers technical team are boosting to have one of the best defences in the league.
Coach Turay will be calling on star players like Amadu Mansaray, skipper Morie Alie, Abubakarr Koroma to name a few.
Kallon FC, on the other hand, Coach Charlie Wright has said the contest will be a fresh start in their quest to replicate 2006 winning season.
“It is going to be a fresh start for us playing away against one of the best in the Southern region,” Wright told FSL.
Coach Wright added, “We are fully prepared to give a good account of ourselves and hopefully, we can take home the maximum point.”
“Bo Rangers is a good side but, we know all about their danger players and it’s going to a good opener.”
Elsewhere, Kamboi Eagles will open their season against 2013 winners Diamond Stars at their Kenema town playing field kick-off 16:30.
At the Siaka Steven Stadium, Freetown City FC battles Waterfront Boys Port Authority the 2008 league winner in another opening cracker.
The Premier kicked off last weekend in grand style as East End Lions defeated Mighty Blackpool 1-0 at the Siaka Steven Stadium with over 35,000 grace the occasion.

Former Bolton midfielder Kamara joins Kazma Sports Club in Kuwait
Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Mohamed Medo Kamara has joined another Kuwaiti side Kazma Sports Club until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old Sierra Leonean international has been out for six months since he departed Kuwait Sporting Club.
During his spell with Kuwait Sporting Club, he won two Viva Super League, two Kuwaiti Emir Cup and two Super Cup between 2016 and 2018 seasons playing over 50 matches.
The Sierra Leone international made 57 appearances for English side Bolton and scored three times.
The midfielder was loaned to Maccabi Haifa for the remainder of the 2014–15 season January 2015 from Bolton.
Kamara has previously played for Kups 2006 season, Helsingin between 2007 to 2010 before joining Serbian side Partizan on a three-year contract in 2013.
