Ivorian attacker Wilfried Zaha scored as Arsenal Champions League qualification hopes were dented on Sunday by Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
Goals from Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur were enough despite the Gunners fought hard to rescue something from the match.
It was a London derby as the visitors took the early lead inside 20 minutes when captain Luka Milivojevic’s free-kick met an unmarked Benteke, who headed in Palace lead for his first league goal since April last year.
Mesut Ozil level things up in the 47th minutes second half before Ivorian Wilfried Zaha scored to put Palace 2-1 up in the 61st.
James McArthur scored the decisive winner for the visitors in the 69th. It was all going Palace way until Arsenal’s striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back for the hosts.
However, was it not enough for the Gunners who remain fourth as Palace held on to end Arsenal’s 16-match unbeaten run at home in the league.

Embattled Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) boss, Isha Johansen, has re-engaged FIFA with regards to the Kenema artificial turf project.
The project worth US$ 644,500.00 was the approval reportedly received from FIFA, with regards to the installation of the standard turf in Kenema two years ago.
The Fifa and Caf executive committee member has been pleading with the soccer world body to authorize the official FIFA project contractors ‘Edel Grass’ to proceed with the installation, Football Sierra Leone understands.
It could be recalled that Fifa categorically outlined that the country will not benefit from any of its development programmes after the suspension was announced.
“Following its suspension, the SLFA has lost all its membership rights as defined in art. 13 of the FIFA Statutes. The SLFA’s national and affiliated club teams are no longer entitled to take part in international competitions until the suspension is lifted,” Fifa penned on October 5th 2018.
However, Johansen has reminded FIFA of her internal struggle to secure the turf for Kenema.
“For close to two years my executive and I fought to rise above the political obstacles as our common vision was borne out of national development and social integration through football,” Johansen was quoted as saying.
“It is for this reason that I would like to emphasise the need to proceed as planned despite the current suspension of our federation,” she pleaded to Fifa top officials.
Holland-based Edel Grass Group are the official contractors.

Sierra Leone youngster Mustapha Bundu scored the winner for AGF with a fantastic last-gasp goal in the 90th minute in their 2-1 victory over SønderjyskE on Thursday at Ceres Park.
The victory means they are sure to play in the Danish Superliga next season after they secured 41 points.
Following a tough season, AGF was drawn in Group A in the relegation qualifiers alongside AC Horsens, SønderjyskE and Vejle BK in the race for survival.
The goal was Bundu, 22, fourth in all competition but a precious one as they secured their Danish Super League status.
Left-back Casper Hojer scored AGF’s opener in the 17 minutes when his free lick beat SønderjyskE keeper Sebastian Mielitz before Christian Jakobsen assisted by Eggert Jónsson level the score-line three minute after.
In the second half, it was all to play for as South Jutland took over the initiative, and among others, the attacker Mart Lieder had a great opportunity, which he missed.
At the end of the match, Sønderjyske tried to establish more pressure on the home team, but in the 88th minute, midfielder Marcel Rømer was sent off.
The AGF controlled the match during the final minutes, Mustapha Bundu received the ball, dribbling out a couple of SønderjyskE players before placing a shot through the legs of SønderjyskE goalkeeper for a decisive winner.

NAC Breda winger Sullay Kaikai has admitted his frustration over lack of playing time with Dutch club NAC Breda but determined to help the club fight to stay in the top-flight. (Photo Peter Visser)
Kaikai, who joined Breda on a permanent move in January from Crystal Palace, was hoping for regular playing time but has found first-team chances limited in the Eredivisie.
NAC Breda acquired the 23-year-old, in a bid to revive their season. However, things have been very difficult for the struggling side.
“It’s been frustrating as I haven’t played the amount minutes I was hoping for,” Kaikai told Football Sierra Leone.
“I’m a player who wants to be an important member of the team and show my qualities on the pitch. I’ll keep working hard to get more minutes and have a positive impact.”
Since his move, the winger has only appeared in five games with 182 minutes played and has yet to register a goal but is pleased with the Dutch style of football.
“I like the style of Dutch football very much. It’s a style that suits my playing style. Players are comfortable on the ball in all situations, they like to build up from the keeper.”
With four more games to go, this Sunday NAC Breda will take on 14th placed team Fortuna Sittard in round 31 a game they must win to renew any hope of survival.
“We will approach each game like it’s a cup final. We are fighting to stay in the league so we will give 100%. It’s important for a club like NAC Breda to stay in the Eredivisie.”
