Defender David Sesay resumes Wealdstone first-team training
Sierra Leone defender David Sesay has returned to Wealdstone first-team training a few days after joining the club.
The former Barnet centre half, who has been on the sidelined since October, confirmed his return to first-team training with his new club. However, there is still uncertainty on when he will make his debut for his new side.Â
Wealdstone will engage promotion-chasing FC Halifax Town at the Grosvenor Vale on Saturday.Â
Sesay played in all three matches for the Leone Stars in their training camp in October. He was injured in the last friendly against Morocco home-based side.
Wealdstone announced the signing of Sesay on a free transfer after leaving National League rivals Barnet on November 26 2021.
He made his Leone Stars debut in a 1-1 draw against South Sudan in a friendly international at the Stade El Abdi in Morocco.
The Watford Academy product began his professional career at Crawley Town, where he made 70 appearances in three seasons before joining Barnet this summer.
