Sierra Leone international John Kamara is “super excited”‘ and over the moon after making his 50th appearance for club side Kaisar Kyzylorda in the Kazakhstan Premier League on Sunday.
The midfielder, who joined Kaisar on 1 January 2017 from Latvian side FC Riga was excited to reach the milestone away to league leaders Astana FK.
It is the second time the midfield enforcer is achieving such a milestone with any club he’s played for in his career.
He made his Kaisar debut against Okzetpesa in their 1-0 win in March 2017.
The midfielder, whom last season made 30 appearances, was also happy to mark the occasion with a goalless draw in the Kazakhstan top league.
“I am happy, very happy to be able to play 50 matches since January 2017, Kamara told Football Sierra Leone.
He added, “I was also happy to help the team because we had a good result away to the league leaders Astana FK on Sunday.”
“It’s great to be trusted and I am looking forward to continuing helping the team. I’ve enjoyed playing for this club.”
Kamara was rated as one the most effective player in Latvia in 2016 season, where he made over 27 appearances in all competitions both in defence and midfield.
He played some part for Sierra Leone in the defeat in Ethiopia on September 9 at the Hawassa Stadium.

Kei Kamara was again on target for Vancouver Whitecaps, as they lost 2-1 against Seattle Sounders at BC Place on a rainy Saturday night.
The veteran attacker was also named Man of the Match following his outstanding display.
A record-breaking MLS crowd of 27,863 watched the Cascadia derby played with playoff intensity.
Kei Kamara’s 12th goal of the season was not enough as a brace from Raúl Ruidíaz gave Sounders maximum points.
Whitecaps will continue to fight to get above the playoff line with six matches remaining.
All goals were scored in the first half. The home team started well and nearly made it 1-0 early on when Kei Kamara’s knockdown found Nicolas Mezquida one-on-one with the keeper, but his shot went agonisingly wide.
The visitors’ Sounders opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Kelvin Leerdam and Cristian Roldan combined to set up Peruvian Raúl Ruidíaz.
Peruvian Raúl Ruidíaz doubles their lead in the 42nd minutes before Kei Kamara reduces the deficit with a header just before the break.
Kamara was part of the Sierra Leone side that was defeated 1nil in Ethiopia during 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

Sierra Leone international, Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara, has signed for Greek Super League club Panetolikos on a two-year deal on Sunday.

Kamara, 25, made two goals in his last 14 appearances for the Swedish club this season.
After signing his contract, he told club’s website, “I’m happy to be here. I know I came to a very good, organized and ambitious club. I look forward to being a member of the team quickly to help her achieve our goals and through my everyday effort to become even better. “
Since joining Häcken in the summer of 2016, from Örebro SK, he went on to play over 38 total Swedish matches for BK Häcken during his two-year stay at the club.
The striker started his career with FC Kallon before moving to Sweden to joined Bodens BK on 29 July 2011 on loan, scored five goals in his five months on loan in 10 games for Boden.
The agile striker on October 2011 after his impressive form with Boden signed for AIK where he had never made any impact.
On 24 January 2013, Kamara was sent on loan to Örebro SK, for the rest of 2013, before Örebro SK decided to sign him on a permanent deal.
He was ruled out since early March 2015 after picking up Lower body injury and was allowed to rest for the season.
The Former AIK striker was Orebro most outstanding striker towards the end of the 2014 season scoring 14 goals in 14 games but was unfortunate ahead of the 2015 season.

Sierra Leone attacking midfielder, Abdul Buduski Sesay, scored on Saturday for his Finnish Kakkonen side as they defeated Tampere United 2-0.
The midfielder took his tally across all competitions to three goals in fourteen appearances.
Sesay scored TP47 opener against Tampere United away from home in the 76th minute after a goalless first half.
The Sierra Leone International, who was initially named in Leone Stars 35-man squad for AFCON qualifiers against Ethiopia, Ghana said he was happy.
“I was happy because winning and helping the team is important considering our position.”
“We are going through a difficult season but we still have five games to turn our season around,” Sesay told Football Sierra Leone.
George Junior Tangko completed the victory for the struggling TP47 in the 80th minutes.
The win means they are second from bottom. However, they are still a contender to be relegated this season.
Meanwhile, Sesay is not part of the Sierra Leone team final list of players for the September 9 African Cup of Nations qualifier at the Hawassa international stadium.

BK Häcken have confirmed striker Alhassan Crespo Kamara has left the club by ‘mutual consent’.
The striker, 25, only scored two goals in his last 14 appearances for the club.
Kamara told this medium that he will sign for a new club on Sunday.
“BK Häcken and Alhassan Kamara have agreed to break the contract and the player is, therefore, free to go to another club,” the club said on their website.
“BK Häcken thank Crespo for the time in the yellow-black shirt and wish him luck in the future.”
“Kamara is very dissatisfied with his playing time and we are dissatisfied with his performance so we ended up breaking his contract. There are no “hard feelings”, says club sports director Sonny Karlsson to the football channel.
Kamara joined the Gothenburg-based club in the summer of 2016, from Örebro SK and went on to play over 38 total Swedish matches for BK Häcken during his two-year stay at the club.
Meanwhile, Kamara is on the final list of 23 players named for Sierra Leone 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Ethiopia on 9 September.

Viborg FF striker Christian Moses has signed a new two-and-a-half year permanent contract extension to stay at the club until summer 2021.
Moses, 25, who joined Viborg Jan 10, 2018, on loan in the previous deal, has scored three times in the last six NordicBet Liga matches.
“I am very happy. It is a great opportunity for me to get a permanent contract in Viborg,” Moses told the club’s website.
“I am very happy to be here and am very motivated to continue my hard work for the team. We have big things to achieve and I look forward to the next few years in the club,” said the in-form attacker.
Sports Manager Jesper Larsen is also pleased to have Christian Moses on a permanent contract:
“Christian has already proved he is a good player for us. He is an unorthodox attacker with great potential, and at the same time, he is an amazing player and person to work with, Larsen on the club’s website.
“He works hard for the collective every day, and of course, we are really happy to continue the cooperation.”
He accounted for 9 goals in nineteen appearances before leaving Vendsyssel last season.
He is on the final 23-man squad named by Sierra Leone coach John Keister for the trip to Ethiopia.
Sierra Leone will take on the Walias in one of the Africa Cup of Nations qualification Group F ties on September 9th.
