Abu Bakarr Kargbo made an immediate impact on his return scoring the winner for Berliner AK 07 in their Bundesliga Nordost league victory over BFC Dynamo at their Poststadion on Saturday.
As a result, Berliner Athletik Klub 07 (AK07) standing second in the Germany fourth tier table from 20 matches played thus far.
The former FK Victoria 1889 player has been out since October with a shoulder injury.
The Sierra Leone native was only making his first appearance since recovering from an injury that has kept him out for three months.
“I was pleased with the goal after a long time out with an injured shoulder,” Kargbo, who was part of Sierra Leone friendly in Iran stated.
Kargbo’s goal came just before the break after collecting a clever pass to slot in a right footed shot.
The visitors BFC Dynamo was by no means the worse team over the entire playing time but suffered another defeat.
He has registered nine goals and earned six assists in 15 appearances this season.
Berliner AK 07 next league outing will be an away tie to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt on Saturday 24th February at the Steigerwald stadium.

Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake thrashed Phoenix Rising 4-1 in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup on Saturday night.
This match was part of both teams 2019 Preseason and, Sierra Leone international, Mustapha Dumbuya, who was in action saw his Phoenix Rising jumped into an early lead thanks to forwarding Adam Jahn.
But, after going down in the opening two minutes of the match, Real Salt Lake scored four uncontested goals, including a brace from Damir Kreilach.
Its was Dumbuya’s fourth appearances for the United Soccer League side since joining the club on January 19, 2019.
They also lost heavily (5-1) to New York Red Bulls New York Red Bulls at Naranja Park in Oro Valley, AZ a week ago.

John Kamara was delighted with his Keshla FK first Topaz Premier League 2-1 win over Sumqayit FK on Saturday.
The Sierra Leone international, who joined the Azerbaijan top-flight side in January, was making his third appearance.
The result means they moved off the foot of the Topaz Premier table to six positions on goal difference.
Amil Yunanov opens the scoring for the home team in the opening 28th minute but, Afran Ismayilov headed goal cancel Yunanov goal.
The home fought hard with some good defensive display as they tried to avoid third straight defeat.
Nikola Mitrovic scored the winner from the spot to ensure Kesha’s moved away from the regelation spot.
“Was a difficult game, but I am happy we won our first game since joining the team,” Kamara said after the win.
“We just wanted to get the three points today, that was our main objective.”
“This might motivate the rest of the team and let see what happens in upcoming games.”

New Colorado Rapids forward Kei Kamara has reassured fans of Commerce City club, Colorado, that he is a committed player.
The journeyman forward is set to play for his fourth MLS team since 2016, joined the Rapids in exchange for an international roster slot for the 2019 season.
The striker was selected by Cincinnati in the 2018 MLS Expansion Draft and immediately traded to Colorado Rapids.
Speaking during pre-season, the Sierra Leone international has stated he will not only be playing for Rapids but, also the people supporting the club.
“When I’m on the field, I’m not just playing for the Rapids, I’m playing for the people supporting the Rapids,” Kei Kamara’s message to the fans.
The veteran attacker who is the sixth all-time leading scorer in the Major League Soccer scoring 112 goals has had spells with Columbus Crew, San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Sporting Kansas City, New England Revolution and Vancouver Whitecaps.
