The Confederation of African Football (Caf) have confirmed that US$500,000 will be given to each the of the continent’s World Cup teams.
Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Tunisia and Senegal will receive the money ahead of next year’s finals in Russia 2018.
At the meeting ahead of the World Cup draw in Russia on 1 December, it was decided that CAF will grant a financial subsidy of $500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand dollars) to each of the five African teams.
The financial package will be used mainly to strengthen and improve the technical supervision of each team, Caf said in a statement.
The ad hoc committee chaired by the Caf vice-president, Kwesi Nyantakyi from Ghana, met for the first time ahead of the World Cup draw in Russia on 1 December.
The other committee also has Caf executive committee member Kalusha Bwalya and presidents of the five presidents of the football associations of the World Cup-bound teams.
In addition, Caf will provide each nation with specialised technology to help measure the physical performances of sportsmen and women.

Former Sierra Leone captain, Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo, will not be prosecuted for match-fixing according to Dutch publication Omroepbrabant.nl.
The Dutch Public Prosecution Office have confirmed that the former Willen 11 defensive midfielder will not be prosecuted over an allegation of match fixing because of a lack of hard evidence.
The PPO has not been able to gather enough evidence to continue the case against Ibrahim Kargbo.

Kargbo was banned in Holland following alleged match-fixing claims in 2016 by the Dutch Football Association, who announced that they have discovered evidence of match-fixing involving the former R.W.D.M. Brussels player.
“I have never been afraid of the outcome of the investigation. What I did in my period with Willem II puts me among the best players.”
“My lawyer now has to make sure that the KNVB clears my name and that I get compensation.”
It was alleged that in August 2009 Kargbo, while playing for Dutch top-flight side Willem II, tried to fix a match against FC Utrecht.
The former Charleroi player, who is still playing for English Non-league side Dulwich Hamlet has always denied wrongdoing.

The Dutch FA (KVNB) claimed that Kargbo was linked to well-known match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal, but according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, there is insufficient evidence.
“Even if someone confesses a murder, but this is not supported by other documentary evidence, the murder cannot be proven. One statement is not proof in criminal law,” according to the Public Prosecution Service.
Responding to the allegation – Willem II said they were “shocked and surprised” at the allegations. “We will naturally assist as much as possible with any eventual investigation in order to unearth the truth,” a club statement announced.
The retired former international was also suspended along 14 others in Sierra Leone on allegations of match-fixing the outcome of 2008 African Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa which ended in a goalless draw.

The latest transfer news and gossip to emerge from France and Sweden.
Montpellier FC have joined Rennes in the race to sign Sierra Leone international Mohamed Buya Turay.
Both French top-flight clubs are reportedly preparing to engage in a fierce transfer battle to sign Turay from AFC Eskilstuna.
Buya, 22, can leave AFC Eskilstuna despite the striker has two years left on his present Eskilstuna contract.
French website Footmercato.net reiterated that Montpellier and Rennes have shown serious interest in Buya. In addition, another French club, Dijon, has offered a bid for Buya.
“I can confirm interest from several countries without specifically mentioning club names. It is natural that clubs in Europe have spotted his talent, among other things.
“Buya, if not the best is among the best attackers in Sweden,” the striker’s agent Gabriel Dikmen Josephson told footballsierraleone.net.
The striker, who scored nine goals and three assistants in 23 Allsvenskan appearances including a brace in their 3-1 win over Malmo on August 19th for relegated AFC Eskilstuna this year, is presently on vacation in his native hometown.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), have lifted their suspension on national head coach John Keister, the FA said on Thursday.
Keister, who was suspended with two others ‘Indefinitely’ after a leaked audio recording emerged in August, has had his suspension rescinded.
The FA issued a statement today confirming that Keister will commence preparation for the Sierra Leone second qualifying outing in Ethiopia March 2018 in the race to Cameroon 2019.
The FA, also confirmed that Prince Tamba Moses and Alusine Kabba suspension has also been lifted.
Keister guided the national team to a 2-1 victory over Kenya – his first win in charge of Leone Stars in their opening 2019 Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifying tie in Freetown on June 10.
He lost his first match as coach of Leone Stars in an international friendly against Liberia Lone Stars in Monrovia.
Prior to his suspension, the Manchester-born, who started his career at Tigres in 1992 before moving to England in 1993 was apologetic.
He stated in his apology, “On 12th July 2017, an audio clip in which I spoke on some issues was widely circulated and went viral, globally.
“I am very sorry with apologies and will like to categorically state that, the discussion was entirely private and meant for just four of us, who were in my vehicle which was in motion.
“It was not deliberate and never intended to smear, defamed; castigate anybody’s hard-won reputation or character. It was either premeditated or had any semblance of conspiracy against anybody or an organisation, agency or country.”
“I must express my utter disappointment and frustration over the recording of my discussion without my approved consent,” Keister regretfully stated

Christopher Abdul Kamara, the suspended secretary general of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), has been sacked with immediate effect.
Kamara and the FA boss Isha Johansen, a CAF Executive Committee member were both ordered by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to step aside following their charges of abuse of office and public funds.
Both denied any wrongdoings and the case is ongoing.
According to the SLFA, Kamara, who was instructed by the Executive Committee following his suspension to do an official handing over note to the acting General Secretary Abdul Rahman Swarray and also release the official email password, has defied orders.
The SLFA said in a statement: “The present Executive Committee of the SLFA has relieved the General Secretary of SLFA Christopher Abdul Kamara of his duties with immediate effect for an act of Gross Insubordination and Misconduct.”
“He was instructed by the Executive Committee to do an official handing over note to the acting General Secretary Abdul Rahman Swarray and also release the official email password.
“After several verbal instructions, the Acting President, Brima Mazola Kamara gave an official ultimatum to Christopher Kamara to release the password within 72 hours but did not comply.
“Therefore, the Executive Committee is left with no option but to act in accordance with its powers within the SLFA Statutes *(Article 34(f))* and the SLFA Condition of Service for staff, The FA’s statement concluded.
However, Football’s world governing body, Fifa a few weeks ago overturned a decision by SLFA to set aside Isha Johansen and Chris Kamara from their respective roles, ruling it ‘invalid’
“We deem that the dismissals are invalid and the SLFA President and General Secretary remain in their function,” Fifa Secretary General Fatma Samoura stated in a letter.
