Sierra Leone international midfielder John Kamara has signed a new two-year contract extension at Keshla FK.
Kamara, 31, whose contract was due to be out at the end of June, will stay at the club for two more seasons.
The former Riga and Kaysar defensive midfielder since joining the club in January 2019 has played 33 matches in all competitions helping his Azerbaijan top-tier outfit to a Europa League spot for next season.
He was named by Topaz Technical observers in week 18 Best XI of the regular season.
“I’m delighted and happy to extend my contract. I have enjoyed playing for this club, Kamara briefly told FSL news.

LA Galaxy II signed forward Augustine Williams ahead of the 2019 season after spending two seasons with Portland Timbers 2.
The Sierra Leone-born penned his first professional contract with Portland Timbers 2 in August 2016.
Williams, 22, the 6ft 2-inch striker before his move played for Timbers 2, where he appeared in 28 games, making nine starts, scoring five goals and recording two assists.
In his USL career, he has made 58 appearances, 41 starts, 11 goals and four assists between 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Before being signed by Portland Timbers 2, the Sierra Leone native played for Nomads SC U-17/18 in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy during the 2015-16 season, where he recorded 20 goals and six assists in 41 games.
Williams also played for Juventus Club, based out of Redwood, Calif, and Alliance F.C. in Hayward Calif.
Meanwhile, Administrators of the USL Championship announced on Wednesday an updated format for the remainder of the 2020 season that will see clubs divided into eight groups to complete a 16-game regular season followed by a single-elimination playoff.

Winger Abdulai Bell-Baggie has joined English National League side Eastleigh Football Club from Weymouth.
The Terms of the contract were undisclosed.
The 28-year-old was pivotal during Weymouth’s play-off campaign last season and was also a member of the squad that won the Southern League Premier two seasons ago.
The Sierra Leone international has acquired lots of experience playing in the Football League clubs such as Tranmere Rovers and Rotherham United as well as Non-League clubs Poole Town and Stockport County.
Bell-Baggie made his senior Sierra Leone debut in a 1–0 defeat to Cape Verde at the Estádio da Várzea in a World Cup qualifier on 15 June 2013.
Baggie has also played for England at both under-16 and under-17 levels.

Mohamed Medo Kamara’s Finnish top-tier side FC Haka took a hard-fought 1-0 win on Tuesday against Ilves at the Tammelan Stadium in their Suomen Cup quarter-final, to advance to the semi-finals.
The visitors after dominated the opening minutes of the game managed to score in the opening 12th minute from a Jonni Thusberg’s diving header.
It was the second encounter of both teams in this year’s Finnish Cup. Earlier in the group stage on February 15 in Pirkkahalli. At that time, the match ended 1-1 with the goals of Lauri Ala-Myllymäki and ex-Ilves Antto Hilska.
Sierra Leone international Kamara was making his fifth appearances since moving back to Finland including three friendly ties.
Kamara speaking to FSL News after the encounter said: “It was a difficult encounter, but are through that what matters. As usual, Haka is a team well known for winning trophies here in Finland.”
“Feeling is good to be out actively playing and doing what I love doing. I’ m looking forward to the semi-finals of this years Finnish Cup. It is going to be another tough encounter in this round.”
Elsewhere, the quarter-final encounter between Rodney Strasser’s TPS and HJK at Veritas Stadium provided excitement until the end of the match.
The former Milan man hopes of reaching the semis were dashed after they suffered a 1-0 defeat.
Strasser has played in every match for the Veikkausliiga side since his move.

The Azerbaijan top-flight 2019/20 season has been cancelled due to Covid-19, with the current top four teams representing the country in Europe next season.

Keshla FK will compete in next season’s UEFA Europa League after ending the halted season as the third-best team.
Kamara, since joining the club in January 2019 has played 33 matches in all competitions. The midfielder was named by Topaz Technical observers in week 18 Best XI of the regular season.
Qarabag was confirmed as champions of the season, and they’ll represent the country in the Champions League.
“Neftçi” and “Keshla” won silver and bronze medals respectively. The other team that will represent our country in the European Cups will be Sumgayit,” officials have said.
“The Professional Football League congratulates the award-winning teams and wishes success to all our clubs participating in the European Cups.”
Meanwhile, this seasons Europa League will resume from 10 August. The remaining last 16 games will be played on 5 and 6 August.
Uefa said: “A decision will be made in due course on whether these matches for which the first leg has already been played will be staged at the home team’s venue or in Germany.
“Inter Milan v Getafe and Sevilla v Roma, whose first leg was also postponed, will be played as a single leg at a venue to be confirmed.”
Gdansk, the original host for the final, will now stage next year’s climax.
