- Osman Kakay, who joined Scottish club Partick Thistle on loan from English Championship side, Queens Park Rangers earlier this month says he was elated after making his debut.
- Kakay is the second International from Sierra Leone to play for the Jabs after Mustapha Dumbuya.
- The former Chesterfield and Livingston player will play for the Jabs with number 24 jersey on loan until January 2020
“I was excited after my full debut on Friday because it was a great game we played as a team. For me in particular, it’s a great opportunity, playing first-team football,” Kakay told FSL online.
“Kenny Miller’s second-half equaliser earned us a 1-1 draw at Gayfield Park with me playing 90-minute of football after a long time out. I hope to continue in upcoming matches.”
The young defender made his international debut for Sierra Leone against Ethiopia during the 2019 AFCON qualifier.
This is his second spell in Scotland after the first loan at Livingston, where he played 12 games in the Scottish Championship for the Lions.
Partick are currently second from bottom of the Scottish Championship, having picked up two points from their opening five matches.

- Norwegian second-tier side Notodden FK have confirmed the signing of Sierra Leone international, Alfred Zagalo Sankoh.
- The midfielder played last season with Majees Sports Club in Omar from Saudi Arabian club Al-Jabalain FC.
Sankoh, 30, is likely to make his debut on the 15 of September when his new side takes on Sandnes Ulf.
“Alfred Sankoh has signed a contract to make him an NFK player this year. He is 30 years old and has previously played for Strømsgodset in the Elite series. There he has played 80 games and became the Cup champion.”
“The midfielder has been training with NFK for a while and is now ready to contribute to NFK. Alfred is ready for the weekend’s game against Sandnes Ulf. We welcome Alfred and wish him luck in the rest of the season,” the club said in a statement.
The midfielder started his career with Strømsgodset in May 2008 before moving to Şanlıurfaspor 2012, where he signed a three-year contract with TFF First League side.
The former Strømsgodset midfielder, Sankoh moved to Khazar Lankaran, signing a two-year contract in July 2014 and played 25 times scoring twice.

- Sierra Leone-born defensive midfielder, Trevoh Chalobah, made his second appearance with England’s Under-21s in their 2-0 victory over Kosovo in UEFA Euro Qualifying.
The Chelsea on-loan player made his debut for the Under-21s in their last game against Turkey and built on his debut with another 90 minutes for Aidy Boothroyd’s side against Kosovo on Monday.
Chalobah junior, who signed for Championship side Huddersfield Town from Chelsea on a season-long loan, will be hoping to be a key player for the England U-21 side.
They will take on Slovenia next in a friendly followed by their next UEFA Euro U21 Qualifier against Austria-Under 21s when international football resumes in October.

- Sierra Leone native, Sullay Kaikai has won the Blackpool Goal of the Month award for August.
- The striker was voted for across the team’s social media platforms ahead of efforts from Armand Gnanduillet and Nathan Delfouneso to win the club’s August Goal of the Month award.
The winger claimed the award for his away goal at Gillingham, finishing off a fine team move.
The former Palace academy player scored a brace in their 3-2 defeat away to Coventry City at St Andrew’s last Saturday.
The 24-year-old will collect his prize before kick-off against MK Dons on Saturday.
He joined Blackpool on an initial two-year deal on a free transfer from Dutch side NAC Breda in the summer of 2019, with the option of a further 12 months.

- Sierra Leone defender, David Simbo, has completed his transfer to Northern Cyprus K-pet Süper Lig side Baf Ülkü Yurdu for an undisclosed fee.
- The club is among the most successful sports clubs in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The 29-year-old centre-back, who was officially unveiled on Friday, has confirmed that he signed a one-and-half year deal.
The former mighty Blackpool defender pictured was unveiled at the Northern Cyprus Football federation office.
“One of our transfer David Simbo is preparing for the new season by working at a busy pace,” the club confirmed on their official Facebook page.
“I’m delighted to have signed a new deal with such am an ambitious club,” Simbo told FSL News. “I can’t wait to get started. Talks have been going on for over a months, but I am happy the deal has been sealed.”
Last season, the agile defender played for Turkish side Kiremithanespor.
Simbo has had spells in Sweden with → Motala AIF (on loan), Trelleborg (on loan), Boden and Sandviken before joining Sudanese top-flight side Al-Hilal in 2014–2015 and later moved to Najran and Krumkachy Minsk in Belarus.
He started his playing career with local club Mighty Blackpool, where he was impressive before moving abroad.

- Kwame Quee scored his first international goal for Sierra Leone against Liberia on Wednesday at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex but admitted his frustration with the result.
Liberia went on to win 3-1 after two late goals from Mohammed Sangare and skipper Sam Johnson. As a result, they travelled to Freetown with an advantage to progress.
The attacker after the match took to Twitter to express his bittersweet experience.
“I’m happy to score my first senior National team goal, but frustrated with the result today. We go again on Sunday home game #wan love salone,” Quee posted on Twitter.
The contest marked Sierra Leone return to international football after a year-long FIFA ban.
Sierra Leone can still qualifier, but their counterparts are with a great advantage ahead of the return leg. The return fixture will be played at the Freetown Siaka Steven Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat was Sellas Tetteh’s first since returning for his second spell.
Meanwhile, Mustapha Bundu, who plays for Danish super league club Aarhus GF, also made his Sierra Leone debut.
