Sierra Leone attacking midfielder George Davies was among scorers in SKN St. Pölten 5-2 victory as they race to survival in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday.
As a result, Pölten moves up to third in their qualification race to stay in the top fligh next season.
Davies, who started the game on the bench scored in the 61st and 63rd minute to give his side a 4-2 lead against Austria Vienna before Alan in the 83rd minute sealed the final scoreline.
Austria Vienna started well as they took the lead in the 18th minute after a combination via Christoph Monschein and Manprit Sarkaria.
Benedikt Pichler scored 1-0, but his goal was cancelled after 14th minute after Ljubic capitalises to level the scores (1-1).
Midfielder Christoph Monschein in the 36th minute gave Austria Vienna a 2-1 lead. However, less than 8 minute D Schutz accounted for Polten’s equaliser (2-2) after a competitive display in the opening 44th minutes.
Davies, 23, who was introduced in the 59th minutes impressively scored a brace to help his side secure victory away from home in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Sierra Leone international midfielder John Kamara has signed a new two-year contract extension at Keshla FK.
Kamara, 31, whose contract was due to be out at the end of June, will stay at the club for two more seasons.
The former Riga and Kaysar defensive midfielder since joining the club in January 2019 has played 33 matches in all competitions helping his Azerbaijan top-tier outfit to a Europa League spot for next season.
He was named by Topaz Technical observers in week 18 Best XI of the regular season.
“I’m delighted and happy to extend my contract. I have enjoyed playing for this club, Kamara briefly told FSL news.

Mohamed Medo Kamara’s Finnish top-tier side FC Haka took a hard-fought 1-0 win on Tuesday against Ilves at the Tammelan Stadium in their Suomen Cup quarter-final, to advance to the semi-finals.
The visitors after dominated the opening minutes of the game managed to score in the opening 12th minute from a Jonni Thusberg’s diving header.
It was the second encounter of both teams in this year’s Finnish Cup. Earlier in the group stage on February 15 in Pirkkahalli. At that time, the match ended 1-1 with the goals of Lauri Ala-Myllymäki and ex-Ilves Antto Hilska.
Sierra Leone international Kamara was making his fifth appearances since moving back to Finland including three friendly ties.
Kamara speaking to FSL News after the encounter said: “It was a difficult encounter, but are through that what matters. As usual, Haka is a team well known for winning trophies here in Finland.”
“Feeling is good to be out actively playing and doing what I love doing. I’ m looking forward to the semi-finals of this years Finnish Cup. It is going to be another tough encounter in this round.”
Elsewhere, the quarter-final encounter between Rodney Strasser’s TPS and HJK at Veritas Stadium provided excitement until the end of the match.
The former Milan man hopes of reaching the semis were dashed after they suffered a 1-0 defeat.
Strasser has played in every match for the Veikkausliiga side since his move.

The Azerbaijan top-flight 2019/20 season has been cancelled due to Covid-19, with the current top four teams representing the country in Europe next season.

Rodney Strasser made his Finnish Cup debut as Turun Palloseura thrashed TiPS 6-0 in their last 16 meeting on Tuesday.
As a result, TPS advanced to the quarter-finals following their comfortable win.
Strasser’s TPS started brightly against the Vantaa team playing third-tier of Finnish football.
The former Milan man, who was making his third appearance for his Veikkausliiga side played the full throttle of the match at the Tikkurila sports park in Vantaa.

Regionalliga club Kickers Offenbach have confirmed the signing of former German U-19 striker Abu Bakarr Kargbo for an undisclosed fee.
Kargbo, 27, is a Sierra Leonean-born but was raised in Germany, where he played for the youth U15, U17, and U19 sides.
The former German U-19 international last played for Berliner AK, where he scored over 30 goals in 57 appearances over two seasons.
In 2009, the striker, who was part of the Sierra Leone side against Iran, won the European U17 championship with the German national team, along with players such as Marc-André ter Stegen, and Mario Götze.
“I’m excited and ready to work my socks off. The club is a traditional club, and after positive talks, it was easy for me to sign the contract. I have a really good feeling, and I can’t wait to play in this beautiful stadium,” the former Hertha BSC II striker told FSL News.
