Alhassan Crespo Kamara scored his first goal on his return to football action on Monday night after 19 months out.
His last match was in December 2018 while playing for Panetolikos where he was forced off the pitch after a damaged to his knee.
The striker, who joined Swedish Superettan side Halmstad Boldklub in March, finally featured for the HBK U21 side against IS Halmia at the Örjans Vall.
The experienced striker got to show his class when he was pulled down and scored the penalty that was awarded in 68 minutes.
His goal against Halmia from the spot was his first goal for almost two years.
Kamara said he was delighted because he was told he has only a 10% chance of playing football again following a severe injury sustained in December 2018 in the Greece top-flight.
“It felt great and a little strange during the first half. I started to feel a little flow, so it felt good. But I know I have a lot to learn about how HBK plays.”
“I played for 70 minutes, and everything went well. The game ended 1-1 for now, I am taking it one game at a time,” He told FSL news.
The former Orebro striker added, “It was a long time since I scored.”

23-year-old Suleiman Samura has been compared to France International and Chelsea FC midfielder, N’Golo Kanté, Lucas Torreira of Arsenal and Onyinye Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City by former Bayer Leverkusen, Everton, and U.S international, Landon Donovan.
Donovan is the current manager of San Diego Loyal SC in the United Soccer League (USL) where the former Craig Bellamy Academy star has set his sight to flourish in the first team under the watchful eyes of the former international superstar.
“I remembered when coach Donovan told me that with my energy and hunger to break up play, win the ball and keep things simple, if I do that consistently, I would play a big part in his team. He also reminded me that is the same job the likes of Ngolo Kante, Ndidi and Torreira are doing for their clubs,” Samura told FSL news.
The midfielder was part of Friday’s pre-season match in their 2-2 draw against LA Galaxy 11 at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
Samura joined SD Loyal from Fresno, where he penned his first pro-contract last July after spells with Fresno FC U-23 in the USL PDL in 2018, and with National Premier Soccer League side Laredo Heat.
The San Diego, California-based club will kick start their campaign away from home next week Saturday against defending champions Real Monarchs at the Rio Tinto Stadium, and the Sierra Leone-born can’t wait to begin a new journey.
“I’m gearing to start the new season. I want to play and give my best to a great club under a great manager,” he said.
“Having London Donovan as a head coach right now is a blessing. I’m learning from him every day. Working under his supervision will surely help me to improve every aspect of my game,” Samura passionately added.
Samura hopes Coach Donovan will help him in his development process.

Osman Kakay made his first start and played the full throttle of the game in QPR’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Tuesday night.
A third consecutive defeat for Rangers 2-1 by Fulham in the west London derby at Loftus Road, however, the QPR’s boss praised Kakay, who made his first league start since returning from loan in January 2019.
Warburton’s men took an early lead in last night’s west London derby, with Jordan Hugill rising highest to head in the opener inside the first minute at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. But the visitors pulled back level 20 minutes later through Harry Arter, who fired a long-range effort into the bottom corner.
Fulham similarly grabbed their winner with Cyrus Christie crashing in a low drive from outside the box with 15 minutes left.
Speaking after the game, Mark Warburton indicated that he felt Kakay played well.
“I thought he was excellent tonight,” Warburton said.
“There were several big performances but Ossie, to come in like that, play 90 minutes against a very good team, win his headers and to be tight on one-versus-ones, he made a huge contribution.
“He did the basics well – his positioning and his simple passes. I’m delighted for him.
“That was a big ask of any player at any level, and he showed huge desire and resilience.”
The Sierra Leone international played 11 matches for Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle while on loan.
Kakay, 22, will be hoping to continue his fine form when they take on Middleborough on Sunday 5th July at the Riverside Stadium.
