- SC Cambuur creative winger Issa Kallon is relishing the prospect of representing Sierra Leone in the biggest stage of African football.
- Kallon, 25, is the son of former International Issa Kargbo, commonly known as Pekin Pele.
- The winner of the Dutch Eerste divisie, the second-highest tier in the Netherlands football system and U-21 Eredisive, has said it will be an honour to follow in his dad’s footsteps.
Kallon confirmed the news to join the Leone Stars after the Sierra Leone Football Association cited him as coach John Keister new inclusion.
“Yes, I will be joining the Sierra Leone national team if selected. I am expecting to get my first call up in the next International duty,” he told FSL UK.
The SLFA says head coach John Keister is interested in offering young stars a chance to fulfil their dream of playing for their country, starting with Leone stars friendly matches in the FIFA international window.
Expressing his delight, he added, “It’s will be an honour to follow in my dad’s footsteps in representing Sierra Leone.”
Born in the Netherlands, Kallon last season played a pivotal role in Cambuur promotion to the Dutch top tier.
In 34 appearances, he scored twelve goals, making four assists. He has represented the Netherlands U21, U19, Netherlands U17, Netherlands U16, and Netherlands U15.
Ahead of the Eredivisie, Kallon is excited to play against defending champions Ajax, runners-up AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord. “It’s a good level to compete with the best in Holland. I’m fully ready.”

- English Championship side Queens Park Rangers will face Manchester United and Leicester City as part of their next four pre-season games this month.
Mark Warburton’s side will kick-start their pre-season games with a trip to Gillingham Friday 16th before taking on Manchester United at home Saturday, July 24th.
After the United game, they will travel again to Cambridge with their final preparation against Leicester City on July 31 at their Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
The Sierra Leone international rejoin his side a few days after helping the Leone Stars to qualify for next year’s African Cup of Nations.
The London based outfit confirmed that fans will be able to watch all of our pre-season friendly matches online this summer on both 𝗤𝗣𝗥+ and their new 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 channel.
The new English Championship campaign will commence on Saturday, August 7.

- Huddersfield Town won their first pre-season friendly with the only goal scored by Josh Koroma in the 13 minutes of play.
- The Sierra Leone native helps Huddersfield Town to a 1-0 victory over Harrogate Town at Canalside on Saturday afternoon.
Koroma, 22 first-half goal was the difference between the two sides at the full-time whistle.
Head coach Carlos named a different side for each half to build up match fitness whilst try out new tactics and systems ahead of the 2021/22 Championship season.
They will look to build on the result when they travel to Southport FC on Saturday 17 July 2021, at 3 pm kick-off.

- Sierra Leone striker Augustine Wiliams made his LA Galaxy Major League debut in their 3-1 win over FC Dallas on Wednesday night at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Williams, 23, who was pleased with his side victory, described his debut appearance as a special moment.
He took to Twitter to expressed his delight: “A special moment for me making my MLS debut last night but more importantly happy to get the win in front of our amazing fans. 3 points secured,” he posted.
Malagasy professional Rayan Raveloson opener in the 17th and Kevin Cabral scored in the 27th gave Galaxy a smooth pathway to cruised to a 3-1 victory.
Williams was subbed on in the 71st minute to bookmark a dream debut for the club.
He will definitely be looking forward to their next outing against Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, July 17, at the BC Place stadium in Canada.
The Los Angeles metropolitan-based club standing third with 24 points behind Seattle and Kansas City, respectively.

- Sierra Leone international Christian Moses has joined Swedish second-tier side IFK Värnamo on a one-half year deal after a good run of form with Linköping in division 1 Södra.
- Since Augustus 2020 with Linköping, Moses has scored eight goals in twelve games with three assists.
- Moses, 27, who won Viborg FF 2018 goal of the season, will start a new adventure in Sweden.
Håkan Söderberg Sports Manager has handed Moses a chance to impress at the club.
“I am delighted to have signed for Varnamo. I will be working hard to do my best for the club in the new season,” Moses to FSL news.
Th striker also confirmed he will be playing his last game for Linköping this weekend before officially joining his new teammates.
“Christian Moses, our new acquisition on the forward side, was born in 1993 and most recently came from Linköping Division 1 Södra. Before that, he played in the highest league in Denmark. Moses is originally from Sierra Leone and is part of their national team,” the club announced on the official website.
“We have had our eyes on Moses since we met Linköping last year when he made a strong impression on all of us. Despite the fact that Linköping has had a tough season so far, Moses is in the top tier in the shooting league!”
“IFK Värnamo has during the season had bad luck on the forward side with both Crespo and Suffian who have been pulled with injury problems so it feels good to be able to present a good name in a good time before the window closes. It has been a tug of war between several clubs and we are very happy and satisfied that Moses chose to play for us.”
He made his debut for Sierra Leone on 6 September 2015 in a 0–0 draw with Ivory Coast and was in the Leone Star side in the 0-0 draw with Lesotho during the just concluded African Cup of Nations qualifier in the race to Cameroon.

- Sierra Leone International Mustapha Bundu has been named in RSC Anderlecht 38-man squad for their six-day summer training camp in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
- Bundu will be working hard to impress the first-team coach Vincent Kompany during preseason games ahead of the new season.
- The six-day training camp commenced on from the 5th July to 10 the club announced.
“RSCA will close the training camp with two matches on Saturday 10th July. At noon against Utrecht (6th in the Eredivisie) and 17:00 against AZ Alkmaar (3rd in the Eredivisie).”
The match against AZ is expected to be live on Telenet Play Sports Open and the club’s Facebook page.
Anderlecth finished their season as the third-best team behind Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp.
Bundu, 24, was set on loan to Danish side FC Copenhagen in January 2021. He made his debut on 03/02 2021 against AaB 3F Superliga and went on to play in fourteen matches scored one goal.
He joined RSC Anderlecht in the summer 2020 transfer window from the Danish side of Aarhus GF.
