Sky Bet Championship side Brentford are reported to have agreed on a deal to sign Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai.

The 21-year-old hailing from Sierra Leonean parents has attracted plenty of interest this summer, but Football Sierra Leone understands that the Bees have won the race for his signature on a season-long loan deal at Griffin Park today.

The PFA Fans’ Player of the Month of October 2015 who has enjoyed previous loan spells at Crawley Town, Cambridge United and Shrewsbury Town in recent years could sign today for the Bees.

He has gone from strength to strength in his development; he scored two goals for the Eagles in a pre-season friendly clash at Bromley in August.

Amasyaspor sign Sierra Leone defender David Simbo

Turkish third tier side Yeni Amasyaspor have signed Sierra Leone international David Simbo from Belarus top flight side Krumkachy Minsk for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old who has been very frustrated in Belarus have penned a one-year deal with the newly promoted side.

The former mighty Blackpool defender pictured was unveiled today at the club’s stadium in Amasya city.

Simbo joined Krumkachy Minsk in March but fallen down the pecking order and only made six appearances in nineteen matches including two cup ties.

The former Narjan SC defender a few weeks ago confirmed that he is ready to play anywhere as long as he is a regular playing week in week out.

“I have already told the club about my intention and will see in the next coming days, maybe in Belarus or out of Belarus.

“For me, it doesn’t matter where I go as long as am happy and playing regular football that is ok, Simbo told footballsierraleone.net a few weeks ago.

Simbo is now expected to join Leone Stars camp in Ghana for the all-important African Cup of Nations decider in Bouake Ivory Coast next month.

Sierra Leone skipper Bangura makes Zurich debut in victory over Xamax

New FC Zurich signing Umaru Bangura made his debut on Monday night on match day five of the Swiss Challenge League, as they beat Neuchâtel Xamax 1-0.

Bangura, 28, came off the bench to replace Albanian attacker Armando Sadiku in the 84th minute at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zürich.

Roberto Rodriguez struck the winner in the 60th minutes for second-tier Swiss outfit.

The Former Honefoss defender was delighted after making his first appearance for his new side following six weeks out with a knee injury.

“Was great to be back playing football after a long time out injured,” Bangura told footballsierraleone.net.

The victory takes his side to the top of the table with 13 points from five matches, winning four and a draw.

He signed for the Swiss side on August 4, 2016, on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

He is expected to lead the Sierra Leone squad out to face Les Elephants of Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations decider on September 3 at the Stade Bouaké Stadium.

On-fire midfielder Abdul Buduski Sesay makes it 12 goals in 15 games

In-form Sierra Leone midfielder Abdul ‘Buduski’ Sesay today registered 12 goals in 15 matches for his Finnish club OPS.

The 24-year-old Sierra Leone international was on target against VIFK Vaasa away from home scoring OPS’s second goal in his side 2-0 win on Saturday.

“I’m delighted for the team. We are improving in all aspects and we are looking for promotion.

“The team played a great game and thanks to my teammates for helping me scoring goals this season, I’m happy, very happy,” Sesay told footballsierraleone.net

The victory is their sixth straight as they maintained their lead at the top of the Kekkonen group C table with 38 points from sixteen matches.

He is expected to be part of the Sierra Leone side to face Ivory Coast in their quest to reach the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final in Gabon.

Buduski scored his first goal for Sierra Leone against Chad in the 2018 World Cup preliminary match played in Nigeria at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium (Port Harcourt) in October 2015.

He was an unused substitute in the 1-0 victory over Sudan June 4, 2016, at the National Stadium in Freetown.

The right back will not be in action when Sierra Leone visits Les Elephants in next month’s crucial Group I qualifier for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

The African champions will host Leone Stars, on September 3 at the historic Stadium Stade Bouaké now Stadium of Peace.

The Sierra Leone international today confirmed that he will not be available for selection.

“Still injured and I won’t be available for the upcoming game against Ivory Coast,” Dumbuya told footballsierraleone.net.

When asked about his return date, he said: “Not yet, I’ll find out when I meet with my doctor in a month or so.”

The former Portsmouth defender ruptured an Achilles’ tendon and successfully underwent operation June 15, 2016.

However, the severity of the injury means the 29-year-old defender already missing important matches in the 2016/2017 Scottish Premiership seasons.

Dumbuya last played for Sierra Leone against Chad in the 2018 World Cup preliminary double header.

Meanwhile, the Leone Stars must defeat Les Elephants if they are to reach the continental big stage next year.

Gabon, the 2012 co-hosts will host the 2017 tournament from 14 January – 5 February.

Sierra Leone striker Sheka Fofanah wearing number 14 jersey celebrated his Vejle Boldklub debut in a 3-1 victory over Tjæreborg IF on Tuesday.

The Sierra Leone striker made his Vejle debut in the Danish DBU Cup played at the Tjæreborg IF’s Arena.

He came off the bench in the 71′ minutes after his side were already 3-1 ahead to make his first appearance in the red sweater

Fofanah, 18, signed a two-year deal with Danish 1st Division outfit Vejle Boldklub on August 4th, 2016.

The cup has been contested annually since 1955 and the 2015-2016 competition was won Superliga-side F.C. Copenhagen beating AGF 2-1 on 5 May 2016 at Parken Stadium.

Vejle manager Andreas Alm’s side have secured access to the next round of DBU Cup following their away victory.

The head coach Andreas Alm shuffled his cards and changed the formation to a 3-5-2 system – in the defence also a debut for Casper Bruun, Anders Egholm, and newcomer American stopper Michael Lansing, replacing Pavol Bajza.
