Sierra Leone international Mohamed Buya Turay was joined by Ivorian footballer Abdul Razak as he dedicated his goals against Malmo FF to victims of Monday 14 August, devastating mudslide and flooding which claimed the lives of hundreds of Sierra Leoneans.
The striker, who was shocked by the tragedy which killed many people scored his sixth and seventh of the season for AFC Eskilstuna in the 4th and 28th minutes respectively.
The home side scored three goals inside the opening half hour in today’s match to registered only their second victory from twenty Allsvenskan matches this season.
In solidarity with his native land and last Monday’s mudslide and flood victims, Buya Turay and his teammate celebrated his opener by revealing Sierra Leone flag.
But, Buya Turay and Ivorian footballer Abdul Razak were both warned by centre match official Stefan Johannesson after the Sierra Leone native and his teammate celebrating his 4th minute’s opening goal by revealing Sierra Leone flag.
The Swedish top-flight bottom table team AFC Eskilstuna defeated Malmo FF 3-1 on Saturday
The video broadcast by C More Sports television station shows Turay, 22, celebrating his goal with a teammate.
The display of the National colours was to honour the death of victims after the landslides disaster in the striker’s home country.
Malmo FF scored a penalty in 59 minutes to reduce the deficit to 3-1 away from home.
